Yall need to calm the fuck down. The sensationalist reporting of the contingency plans set in place by the MHRA for vaccine second dose isn't the standard plan. It's there for a very small number of people for whom the 2nd dose is not completed properly.

This happens for a number of reasons - a lost vaccine card, lost vaccine cert that isn't handed in to GPs, missed second dose due to illness at time of recall. Someone could end up with appendicitis, end up in hospital and miss their second dose etc.

Its a contingency plan available to vaccinators if they can not ascertain what vaccine was given for the first dose (shouldn't happen anyway but it COULD in a handful of cases) or if someone has an extreme reason for missing their 2nd dose and we have none of the vaccine left.

This will cover a very small number of people but this HAS to be in the guidance or it would mean those few people who fall into the category would be denied their booster dose.

I'm already exhausted of explaining shit to people multiple times because news agencies don't have a fucking inch of responsibility in reporting anything scientific correct.

I'm tired of doing journalists jobs for them for free at midnight.
