A little background on lawyer Lin Wood (from Wikipedia): his family struggled financially with frequent episodes of domestic abuse involving his parents. After a school dance, the then 16-year-old Wood returned home to find his father had beaten his mother to death.
L. Lin Wood Sr. pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, a charge reduced from first-degree murder. He served a little over two years in prison. Wood has stated that it was this experience that solidified his earlier decision to become a lawyer.
Aside from bringing crazy, error-ridden lawsuits on Trumpâs behalf, Wood represented former U.S. Congressman Gary Condit & GOP political candidate Herman Cain, defending both men from charges of sexual & other misconduct. In other words, he defended alleged abusers.
In 2020, Wood was sued by 3 of his former law firm colleagues, alleging Wood had breached a contract re: a settlement between them when the trio tried to leave his law firm. The lawsuit alleged Wood had induced them with abusive comms, including "God Almighty" was directing him.
He volunteered to defend Kyle Rittenhouse, brought defamation suits for Nicholas Sandmann, and brought suit for Dr. Simone Gold, who was fired for making false claims about Covid-19. Just so yâall get a snapshot of who this guy is.
