This is an excellent thread, and it all-but throws away its killer point: that this kind of skepticism should be applied to COVID-19 stats as well. Or, as my second science boss used to say to me: "If you do an experiment and it gives you the result you expect the first time, do it again, bc you did it wrong."
So may smuggos on here jump to conclusions on the basis of provisional numbers bc they massage their own prejudices.
