The wait is over! Here's some stuff that made 2020 bearable. This is my way of saying thank you to those who helped! Give them a New Year #FF! https://twitter.com/mtthwhgn/status/1344790325848629249?s=20
waaaay back even before Lockdown 1 was a thing, I was binge-watching #TheWalkingDead to get myself into the apocalypse spirit
I was fortunate to see both @carlyraejepsen and @nimmonimmo IRL and with friends before everything stopped.
My transition into Lockdown was eased by @marymacofficial Live Shows, @MissPennyDQ Babestation and @charliehidestv Drag Queen Bingo
I got off to a good start with regular @breatheandflow yoga, a habit that slipped but that I intend to start again
I channelled my inner Backup Booty with @TheFitMarshall, my first ever YouTube subscription! https://www.youtube.com/user/TheFitnessMarshall
A daily dose of interesting facts (which would be useful for Zoom quizzes!) was provided by @TheRoryJohn's Things I Learnt series.
#BreakfastBops (especially the #TinaAtTen segment) from @_ElectricAngels was a daily highlight (unless you were my neighbours listening to my caterwauling). Thanks @ShaunKitchener!
I was hooked on Black Country Disco from @tom_aspaul. A song about the @WMmetro?! INCREDIBLE.
The epic @LDevineMusic was one of the first to perform live online. Her URL Tour was great!
Also on the 'gram in the early days was @SophieEB's Kitchen Disco. The Crying at the Discoteque video is also a masterpiece.
Sometimes I think I fangirl a little too hard over @songsbyralph. But I listened to her version of Crush approximately one bazillion times in 2020!
I listened to a LOT of podcasts, but my absolute face has been @insidethegroove. I'm very excited for new episodes after a well-earned rest! My fave ep: https://open.spotify.com/episode/6EO4QSnIqjDPB2HtzUQhfc?si=56fP98W0Q4Ga-ohO4RPtig
Listen-alongs from @trackbytrackuk were mega! Did I think I would be listening to Northern Star in 2020? No, but I was NOT sad about it!
Another podcast series that I got obsessed with is @SwitchedOnPop. The CRJ episode was the soundtrack to a 'government-sanctioned walk' in May! https://open.spotify.com/episode/3HcP9YqiIPdKpOfrlDoCqR?si=nFJrJfAMRCOAdygfzA1iIg
I found reading in 2020 a bit difficult. I missed the commute as protected reading time and couldn't seem to concentrate, but...
I thoroughly enjoyed @ortile's The Groom Will Keep His Name. I have continued to think about regularly it since reading it back in the summer.
One thing I had no trouble at all reading was Disasterology, an (admittedly work-adjacent) email newsletter from the phenomenal @SamLMontano. Every issue is [chef's kiss.gif]
I drank a lot of @kyliewines
often whilst listening to @kylieminogue's DISCO (one of my fave albums of the year) or dancing at the #InfiniteDISCO

I hadn't heard of #Starlink or @SpaceX before 2020, but the excellent @VirtualAstro made it super easy to watch along. I've been following with interest ever since!
#ResilienceHuddles from @TheEPS1 served as a much-welcomed 'decompression chamber' as well as a great way to stay in touch with colleagues. Long may they continue.
I turned on notifications for @LucyGoBag's tweets because every single one of them needs to be read!
And speaking of colleagues, a splinter group of @HindsHelen @hellturn and @Rubonist kept me sane with many a goat meme/news update!

There's a corresponding blog post which captures the films, TV shows and other 'content' that has (willingly) eaten up a lot of my time. http://mtthwhgn.com/obsessions/2020-obsessions/
One of my resolutions for 2021 (perhaps one for the Government too) is to better support the artists and creators who are helping us get through this weird time.
