Ok, so here are some ideas to improve each and every one of the layers of cheese as per @MackayIM's chart.

In his order, but maybe you want to do easiest first? 🤷🏼‍♂️

A 🧵:

1/n
1) Stay home if sick. Symptoms are not just fever, cough and anosmia. There are others as per @timspector of ZOE. Tiredness etc.

2) Improve http://appropedia.org/Personal_respiratory_protection. Masks: extra layers, better materials, better fit, better education/enforcement.

2/n
3) Hand hygiene & cough in elbow.

4) Avoid touching face. You had mask. Add goggles? Just glasses even if you don't need them? 🤷🏼‍♂️

5) If crowded limit your time. Supermarkets could give a map or display it outside. How much faster can shopping be done? Many more ideas later.
3/n
6) Testing etc. Not in your hands, generally. React based on symptoms (see point 1) and your context. That's called "syndromic surveillance", if you need fancy names.

7) Ventilation, outdoors, filtration. @jljcolorado and @linseymarr. JL has FAQ in profile.

8) Govt...

4/n
8) Govt messages and financial support. In case of state failure or state insufficiency, ask for help, give help, organise help.

9) Quarantine and isolation. Help make it happen. If a neighbour isolates/quarantines, do their shopping etc. See point 8.

5/n
10) Vaccines. Not in your hands, generally. Support efforts. Learn. Expect priorities. Be kind.

11) Border controls. Don't wait for that. Simply, don't move outside.m your area unless badly needed.

12) Ok: #NeedsNotSystems. #minitribes & ruralised schools. Let me explain.

12 = http://lugon.neocities.org/NeedsNotSystems1.html ... more details tomorrow. And on supermarkets.

(Now I need to sleep. FWIW, I'm a retired epidemiologist, planned for my region 2005-2009, participated in FluWiki, wrote http://resiliencemaps.org/files/fluscim  in 2011, & now have had covid since June 2020.)

I'll write a better version of this tomorrow but, you know, act fast.

Links and stuff.
And please if you have more ideas or resources... just say. I plan to do better version tomorrow.

If you want some light reading, maybe http://resiliencemaps.org/files/fluscim ... good index in the 69 page pdf.
