Alright I’m here to help you beat the algorithm in 2021 so you can get the reach you deserve and to get your content out there so here’s a little thread!

First up is you NEED to stop with the engagement/rt groups. I know the numbers may look good when the group helps you out but it sets you so far against the algorithm. It’s also going to alter your tl and what you see too.
2.) post frequently and use rich media posts as much as possible (videos, pictures, gifs). The algorithm lives for this.
3.) if you’re going to use hashtags use them with purpose but don’t flood your posts with them. 1-2 is enough for a post and anything more than that will just be seen as spam.
4.) Do make posts encouraging engagement (replies, rts, likes, etc) an example would be some like “rt if you like pancakes, like if you like waffles”
^pinned for pinned is GREAT but don’t do it frequently because the algorithm will recognize it as non-genuine engagement
5.) Try to create posts geared towards trending topics, etc. this isn’t really necessary and something you should 100% worry about doing but the algorithm would give it a nice push
6.) rework/redo posts that have worked well for you. Don’t copy and paste the whole thing and repost it but copy the style/format that you used
7.) the location of your followers also affects your engagement as well. If you’re frequently relying on the “night crew” to get your posts out then you gotta work on gaining followers in your relative location and fix that
8.) learn what your best posting times are. Post a bunch of stuff and look at which ones preform the best, those are gonna be relative to your best posting time.
