Support your creative friends this year! I can’t tell you how discouraging it is to spend hours doing a project or making something for it to go unnoticed. It literally takes 1 second to like or share their work.
For those who have a presence already, boost/mentor the ones you love. Don’t view them as competition, and instead embrace them because they will make you better.

The most rewarding part of sharing your art is the community.
To my small time folks: don’t give up. I know how it is to get 20 listens on a podcast you spent five hours total working on. You have to grind for it, but if you believe in what you’re putting out people WILL find you.

Make something you’re proud of. The rest will come.
One last thing: find what makes you special. The great thing about whatever you’re doing is that the internet makes it possible. The bad news about what you’re doing is there’s dozens of others doing the same thing, and probably doing it badly.

Find your special bit. Stand out.
