man talking about bbc fireworks display showing mives latter symbols and shit: "something that should be about pure enjoyment is corrupted by politics". brings to mind all of the "invading hobbies" videogames comics etc stuff. really made me think:
it IS about pure enjoyment

it IS about "pure enjoyment" for them, not politics. politics is a means to an end. specifically fantasy-enjoyment, not a physical enjoyment or direct enjoyment, but the establishment of a wordly state of affairs that aligns with a preconceived picture of great significance in ur
head. instrumentalsing the world (or other people, usually it's about humiliation of some kind) to enjoy the fantasy, instead of enjoying the world (or people)
political fetishism - it doesn't actually mean anything, and that's why you even care in the first place. if the big slogans and messaging held any kind of significance, the propaganda would be tolerable. it's only annoying because it hollow through and through
and the humiliation someone feels when "someone" is "invading your hobies and corrupting them with politics" is either because you overidentify with said hobby or, as I suspect is the case with the fireworks because who the fuck lives through fireworks,
it's intuiting that you are at some abstract level being used in someone else's sexual gratification
the flasher doesn't get off on jerking off while looking at you, he gets off on being *seen* by you, and that's what makes it such a transgression
