Here’s my story when I ran into former Premier Mike Harris a number of years ago. He lived in my neighborhood
I was in line at my local Shoppers Drug mart in Woodbridge. The man ahead of me was arguing with the teen cashier because the lottery machine was down.
The man, dressed in swim shorts, Hawaiian shit and flip flops. Until I heard is voice raised in anger, it hit me that it was our former Ontario Premier.
His hands in the counter angry that he couldn’t buy lottery tickets, angry at cashier. As he flip flopped out of the store, just as he was exiting, I said to the bewildered cashier..
“You’re too young to remember, but that was our former Ontario Premier, Mike Harris. Still an asshole”
He gave me a look of rage
Still trying to get rich off a lottery win. Now he gets the Order of Ontario, after the LTC death count while being the board chair of Chartwell.
