The last couple of questions (and Roy Hodgson's answers) in particular struck a chord about the difficulties of uncertainty.

2020 was not a great year by any stretch of the imagination, but I do consider myself fortunate to have had a pretty good year by most measures.
What I like about Roy is that he doesn't lose sight of the fact that football is not the Alpha and Omega, and everything in between.

If you love it, you love it. But it's not everything.
Three members of my family work in a care home, and at one stage the gravity of the situation really did hit home.

Luckily, we've come out of it unscathed (touch wood). I'd like to draw particular emphasis to the following passage...
"I would be very loathe to make complaints or start making negative comments with regard to psychological problems that a footballer might be having. Because if I was to do so - what must people in care homes be thinking?"
"What must people who have got no family close by who they can depend on? What about people who are so dependent, if you like, on a life outside of their home? They're the ones, I think, who we need to talk about with regards to psychology and mental health."
Here ends the earnest tweet thread.

Also, Gary Cahill still out with a hamstring injury.
