Book - The Art of Execution (Lee Freeman-Shur)
I did fear this would be a difficult read. This couldn't be further from the truth, in fact, it probably made the biggest impact from an investing perspective in 2020, using a very simple approach.

Ultimately, it is about understanding what type of investor you are & taking actions accordingly. Doing nothing is rarely the right action & an acceptance you can be wrong more than half the time yet still "win" were my two simple takeaways. A must-read for every investor.

As a result of this book, I topped up one long-term investment & sold my oldest holding. I wouldn't have made at least one of those decisions beforehand. More importantly, I now understand the later movements of those stocks do not need to prove this decision right or wrong!

If a 160-year-old publication can learn new tricks, then we have no excuse!

In fact, I have already managed to set-up my p/f for tracking from 2021, something I had not done previously!
If you would like to give it a go, I think the current offer is one month for free... shout & I'll grab you details & my account number for a referral.

Resource - Yoizer ( https://www.yoizer.com )
Today, I’m recommend a really useful & free tool for (mostly) immediate RNS alerts. It isn’t faultless & is dependent on the data provider, but it is a good way to get quick alerts, especially when working.

Downsides is that it is limited to 15 stocks (which is fine for my purposes) & you need to use Telegram, so don’t get pulled into any of those dodgy P&D groups.

My only wish for 2021 is that more UK-listed companies engage on the platform - a big step for both them & their PR teams to bridge though!

If you like resource companies, at least subscribe to the @CruxInvestor YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc0h6rwJD4vr_Rtdasuyn-w) & I can assure you that you will pick up some valuable information!
One more wish - normality resumes & we can arrange UK drinks at some stage. Fingers crossed!

Maybe we should do a poll on which you'd like to listen to if you only had one ear? Maybe not!
Seriously, keep up the good work @conkers3 & @wheeliedealer - I hope you know how much of the community enjoy the effort you put in with the podcast & otherwise.

My favourite takeaway was that you had to enjoy what happened in March, but not at the time. I can honesty say that this fits with my retrospective assessment of that period!
Watch as soon as you have a share half-hour. Great stuff!

Equally, we’re all of judging others, especially when their methodology strays too far from our own.
A good book to help open the mind.
