What's the best movie or TV show ever made about invention?

Not just the trials and tribulations of the inventor, but which brings alive the process of invention itself.
Wow, I have seen hardly any of these suggestions. And when I have, not for at least a decade. I had better get watching.

Though a lot of them seem to *really* be about the personal struggles (Longitude: Harrison vs Maskelyne; Current Wars: Edison vs Tesla). Hmm.
My question partly brought on by having just seen this surprising monologue by Bogart from an otherwise rather bizarre 1950s Hepburn rom-com called "Sabrina". A newly-invented super-strong plastic features prominently in the plot for no apparent reason.
