Ellie ... I’m off sledging with Gracie

Me... Ok

2hrs later my phone is ringing
Hiya it’s Gracir. I think ellie has broken her leg.

Me...
Me... Ok, where are you?

Gracie.. Dunno

Me...
Me.. Any clues?

Her.. Near the golf course.

Ellie... GO ON SNAP MAPS

Me...
Me... Goes on find my iphone.

LOL.
So the bottom right is the car park.
Gracie is going to use the sledge as a stretcher and pull her down the hill.
I get to the car park and that vast expanse of grass and hills is a lot bigger in real life.
I am just standing at the top thinking please ffs do not let me have to call a fucking air ambulance.
A man appears up the path with a little dog.

Him.. Are those your kids on the hill?

Me... Is one broken?

Him... Yeah

Me.. Yeah that’s mine.

Him... I’ve got spikes on my boots, I’ll run and get her. Watch the dog for me

And off he goes
However he did not tell me the dogs name and the dog is now going quite quickly in the opposite direction.

Me... doggeee, doggo, mr fluffy
Come back!
Mr fluffy did not listen
Mr fluffy is gone.
I’m playing the conversation in my head...
Oh, thanks for saving my kid. Erm I lost your dog.
About 10 mins later the man appears pulling Ellie on a sledge, gracie carrying her trainers and Mr fluffy is RIDING ON THE SLEDGE.
We have brought her home now and I am unsure if it is broken.
I am just having a couple of Lindt balls and a brew whilst I decide.
Can wiggle her toes, can’t move her foot up and down or put any weight on it.
*Tags self in A&E on Facebook. Doesn’t say why*
The carpark was full with staff coming for their covid jab.
(I just found this out from the receptionist)
We had to park in the second carpark and I had to piggy back her.

I am 43 years old.
Might check in myself due to my knees crumbling up like a couple of extra strong mints
28 minutes.
Triaged, Xrayed, out.
Boom.
Bad sprain.
Rest up.
Grow some balls.
