Singer-songwriter who Taylor regards as her favorite lyricist. If you disregard fame and sales, Lana can outsell her by a mile

Folklore was inspired by NFR. It is inevitable that a fad like Taylor praises great poets like Lana, and it is a fact that most of Taylor’s lyrics are bland, lifeless, and empty. Swifties who think otherwise probably listen to 4 people

2. Mitski

Alternative artist who created the best album of 2018, Be the cowboy. She also produces her album, and has a wide vocal range unlike a certain woman in the music industry. Next.

Taylor doesn’t deserve her Grammys, let alone the recognition her delusional stans give her especially when it comes to vocals vs songwriting. A certain main pop girlie outsells her for this, since she too can write, and she displays an angelic voice

3. Sufjan stevens

Singer songwriter who created Illinois and Carrie and Lowell. The emotional complexities of his works outacclaim and outvalue Taylor’s discography, it’s obvious really.

The “good” Taylor lyrics from when she was a teen aren’t even good. Most of them are the same elegies poets have been throwing around for centuries, therein telling just how bad she is as a writer, and of course, as a singer.

She also doesn’t deserve her aoty awards. In 2010 a certain album which is considered great didn’t even get nominated, let alone win any award. And in 2015, 1989 won over To pimp a butterfly, which is the album of the decade made by Kendrick Lamar

5. Lorde

The actual songwriter of our generation. She wrote royals when she was 16, and she actually has originality. Her anthems are unforgettable, and every person ages 10-30 adore her. (She also owns her masters)

So what exactly is the point of this thread?

The point is there are a lot of better songwriters than Taylor swift. I’ll go out of my way and say she’s not excellent, and she has skill, but her stans are delusional and are a softer version of BoTS stans.

It’s safe to say that Taylor will be forgotten in about 10 years when she starts fading away. It’s true

And of course, I won’t forget how some of my faves walked so Taylor could run. I won’t mention them, but if any swiftie comes for me I can fight them til daylight.

Songwriting is also different from poetry, so I won’t mention Kendrick or other people. Apart from that, you can learn from this that Taylor isn’t as good as her stans make her out to be, don’t fall for their tactics, and know that there are better writers than Taylor swift.
