Reflecting on the future
1) Short term - get transmission down, doesn't have to be perfect, just buy time for vax
-reduce non essential interactions
-support essential workers
-strengthen testing/isolation/case/contact tracing
-improve community engagement https://bit.ly/3pIG8S6
2) Medium term
Understand there are a variability of voices out there, often with their own biases. Multiple stakeholders at the table and debate spurs innovation, but understanding moderation and evaluation so important to public trust https://bit.ly/3n5TR3G
2.5) Medium term
Return to pursuing the science of COVID-19. At many times, misinformation, politicization, and disrespect to the hierarchy of evidence has led us astray. A century ago we were treating syphilis with mercury based on similar principles.

3) Long term
Understand COVID will not be eliminated. This disease has penetrated every corner of the earth, and will circulate post vaccine. It doesn't mean life won't go back to normal, we've had many plagues history without eliminating the disease. https://bit.ly/3pzX1yk
I'm also very thankful for the folks I've had a chance to write with this year, and hopefully many more discussions upcoming. @BogochIsaac @TorontoIDDoc @DocDominik @AntibioticDoc @GermHunterMD

Happy new year to all, and hopefully a much safer back to normal year.
