2020. What a year.

🌟It was the year I was so grateful to be featured on the 2020 Women in Software Power List and 2020 #TechWomen100

đŸ’» I taught two 8-week Python classes with @CodeFirstGirls and mentored some amazing people

đŸ’»đŸ˜Š Created workshops with my friends

BUT...đŸ§”
The global pandemic hit and it was tough for everyone. I grew anxious about everything; though fortunate to have a full life and a job. I cannot imagine what it must be like working in health services. Thank you to everyone for helping us and giving up your time and your lives 💕
đŸ’» Throughout 2020, outside of my job and volunteering work, I grew out of touch with tech and lost my spark. I shut down social media and stopped creating content. I started to question whether my work actually had a purpose, whether it fit my values.
😊 I stopped feeling guilty about doing nothing and just enjoyed things as they are. I’m grateful to connect virtually with my family. All too long, I was ambitious and just focused too much on my career. I was tired. By taking a break, I realised I was a lot happier :)
â˜ș Coming into 2021, I’m going to do things as and when they come. I can’t predict the future, but I can learn and focus on the things that bring me joy and shift out the noise! It’s a noisy world and it’s hard to find a voice in it sometimes. Have a chilled New Year all! 💕
