Here is the new thread with some new facts and authentic sources.

Please move to this thread for more info about the myth of Qutub Minar AKA Vishnu Dhvaj built during Gupta empire not by Qutbuddin.

contd..
The parts of temples around the kutb minar(Qutub minar/Vishnu Dhvaj) belong to the period of Great Tuar dynasty?

Here Tuar refers to Tomar/tuanr/tanwar dynasty.

A snippet from the Archaeological Survey Of India Vol. 1 - Alexander Cunningham.
Interesting, no muslim historian ever used the word indraprastha.

Note a city is mentioned by cunningham located at the south-west of the city surrounding the iron pillar and two other forts lalkot and rai pithora(probably where qutub minar/vishnu dhvaj stood).
Pic 1 - The inscription of Iron pillar at Quwwat islam mosque(temple ruins) which shows the name of Chandra (Chandragupta II).

Pic 2 - Name of King Chandragupta Vikramaditya on his coin.

Pic 3 - Full name of Chandragupta II.

All these pics has gupta script.
Indraprastha was renamed to Din-Panah was humayun but locals call it either indraprastha or purana qila.

Even today the term purana qila is used often.
When I came to know that the iron pillar which is stands in the complex of Qutub (Vishnu dhvaj) has an inscription of King Anangpal tomar, I shocked.

Again as usual, cunningham had theorised the pillar was moved to delhi by King Anangpal not by feroze shah, but when its known.
Acc to Cunningham on the basis of vishnu purana and lunar astcrism calculation, Mahabharata was took place in 1824-25 BC.

The city of Indraprastha was similar where Feroz shah established a new city on the ruins of Capital of pandavas and renamed it to kotla (Near ITO Delhi).
Now See the chronology,

- Delhi was ruled by Chandragupta II.
- Delhi was deserted before tomars and they came here in 7-8th cent.
- Pillar was moved to Delhi by King Anangpal not Iltutmish?
- The Pillar was in delhi even before Qutbuddin so the claim of iltutmish is incorrect.
Delhi was ruled by King Vikramaditya as per Cunningham.

The Iron Pillar inscription mentions a King named Chandra(refered to Changragupta) who installed a tower name Vishnu Dhvaj on Vishnu charan pad hill.

Qutub minar is built atop on a hill of aravali.
So Delhi was ruled by King Vikraaditya also.

Cunningham also referred the term, Bilan de tomar, means the king's descendants occupied the throne for 700+ years until displaced by Tomar or Chauhan ruler who founded Delhi in 736 AD.

Story of Qutub minar aka Vishnu Dhvaja contd..
So I will reveal some new facts about Vishnu pad hill on which Qutub minar(Vishnu dhvaj) was built by Maharaj Vikramaditya.

I have been collected some data about the connection between Iron pillar of mahrauli and Vishnu pad hill.

I read the citation of DC Sarkar, and John Fleet
