I should write a post on progressive eugenics - I considered examples in What’s the Use. This material teaches us that equality as a principle and practice was deemed the ‘artificial’ lowering of humanity. We learn so much from this history about how hierarchy is made natural.
But also how the very existence or survival of some people is deemed artificial. And how some people are deemed artificial.
It also allows us to explain why people are often rewarded for bigotry.
It would allow us to link eugenics and trans exclusionary politics. The links are history: we can make them because they are there.
I have also witnessed progressive eugenics in actual defences of harassers: equality is the imposition off moral norms that would stop him from expressing himself (he’s a genius).
