After hearing that NZC were going to pick a like-for-like replacement for Neil Wagner, I decided to look through recent Plunket Shield matches, and figure out who that might be.

The key thing that Wagner does is pick up wickets of good batsmen with the old ball.

So I decided to see who had done that.

I looked at everyone who had taken a wicket of a top 6 batsman with a ball that was more than 30 overs old.
