I know the night is young, unlike the year.

But it has been a long year... a long couple of months... and even a very long few days for some people who deserve better.

So I will give my friends my New Year's wishes early tonight and you can pop the corks when you will. >

I wish our world and our blessed country and my friends here and everywhere a better year than the one we just experienced,

a year of health, prosperity and liberty under God

of which a necessary component must be justice. >

The year 2020 was the worst year for justice in our country that I can remember.

Every agency charged with ensuring justice failed famously.

Mayors turned their cities open to mobs. Prosecutors refused to prosecute. >
