Time flies since time isn’t real. For some of us, time slows when we are faced with our demons and with the hells that await us everyday by the gruesome forces society and the universe have in store for us. For others, it speeds up.

Final thread of the year from me is about time
This year has been cruel, unrelenting, and without mercy for so many. For many, they tried to pretend that things were business as usual and caused catastrophic damage as a result and still do—presenting us challenges to deal with moving forward into the next year
Perhaps the most dangerous concept facing us is the desire for normalcy and the lengths tens of millions are willing to go to return to that normalcy. How many of us are left behind, forgotten, and ignored as the desperation for normalcy increases? It’s hard to fathom
Abandoning this desire for “normal” is what it could’ve took to save countless of lives. Abandoning the desire to maintain normalcy would save many more and bring us to places we can’t fathom.

We need to dare to be better than normal and much different than it to prosper in 2021
Time slows down when we are forced to unplug and deal with the full brunt that reality has for us. It’s overwhelming and impossible to handle alone. For some of us, this may have been the longest year in our lives. For others, this year could’ve felt disorienting, but quick
2021 could be noticeably better for some, for others, it very well may be horrible especially if you are newly disabled due to COVID and also generally don’t see much positives that middle class and rich folks see everyday

Time treats us all differently, shapes us differently
Most people I know have changed in some way this year even if they lead relatively comfortable lives. Lots of reasons for that, but having to deal with several issues throughout the year at snail’s pace seems to have made some uncomfortably selfish or open to radical action
