Lessons I’ve learned in 2020..

A thread.
1) Embrace the real you.

Generic, right?

Not to me.

There has never been anyone on this planet that is exactly like you.

How could you dare try to imitate someone else’s personality?

No one can ever love the real you if you refuse to even be it.
2) Your beliefs and goals will change with time.

And that’s okay.

Don’t ever feel like you need to remain the exact same person forever..

With every experience, you learn something new.

That’s called growth.
3) Some people were just not meant for you.

No matter how hard you try to fit them into your life,

It just doesn’t work out.

Why?

You’re trying to force something that wasn’t meant to be.

Let them go,

For good.
4) Being alone isn’t that bad.

You don’t need a million friends. Or a loving family.

Is it a plus? Of course, it is.

But if you don’t have it,

You can survive without it.

Solitude will take you places that no one else can take you.
5) Everyone is busy with their own lives.

You need to make sure you are working on yourself and your future.

Don’t get too caught up in theirs.

Or you will regret it.
6) Do something you fear.

No matter how out of place you may look to everyone else.

For me,

It was starting this Twitter account.

This meant really putting myself out there and fighting “imposter syndrome”.

I ended up meeting some really amazing people.

0 regrets.
7) Nature is healing.

You don’t need to go to Niagara Falls either.

Your backyard will do.

The trees, the birds, the fresh air, the rain..

If you surrender to it, it can heal you.
