It's time for my Top 10 Games of 2020 thread! it was kind of tough this year, because it's hard to rank so many different kinds of games against each other when I loved them all in different ways. Just know they are all great!
#10 #WintermoorTacticsClub is a cute & quirky turn-based RPG about school clubs duking it out. It has a no-fail mode so you don't have to repeat battles if you aren't wanting to. Also has nice queer representation. Not too long and it stuck the landing!
#9 #Spiritfarer, being a management sim, isn't normally my kind of game, but it's so heartfelt and just adorable that I really had a lot of fun with it. I never finished it, but I enjoyed the time I spent with it.
#8 I am the WORST at #HuntShowdown and the load times are horrible, but I love being in that world and have so much fun just going around killing grunts! Just wish I'd had more people to play it with!
#7 I just played #MonsterTrain for the first time today but I already love it! It would probably end up ranked higher if I had more time with it, but it definitely deserves a spot. I love card games like this! It's really fun & has great music!
#6 #ImmortalsFenyxRising is sooo funny. And it has a lot of puzzles, but for the most part (so far) they haven't been too hard for me and that makes me feel good about myself.
#5 #Dreams is such an amazing "game". To give these tools to make pretty much anything you can image is truly remarkable. I don't think enough people tried it out which makes me sad. This gave me a wonderful creative outlet in the time I spent with it!
#4 #SpiderManMilesMorales is just pure fun to play. Not much beats swinging around the city and the combat came back to me pretty fast. Miles is a great character and his new abilites are the best and of course Spider-Cat rules!
#3 My soul is still a little broken from #TLOU2, and sometimes I hated what the game did and made me do, but while I was playing it, I was so into it. Every day, I couldn't wait to get home and play more to see where the journey took me.
#2 I wasn't gonna buy #Hades. Don't remember why I eventually did. Multiple times I'd stop playing for a while & think I might be done with it. Then I'd play again & get sucked back in. Now I've rolled credits but still want to play more!
#1 #GhostOfTsushima was a soothing balm on my soul after #TLOU2. The combat (with accessibility options) made me feel like a badass. The world was such a joy to travel through. Writing haiku and petting foxes felt just as good as slaughtering my enemies.
