Lessons from 2020

1. Going for a daily walk while envisioning your future will accelerate your growth.

Walking has a mood boosting effect.

This will help generate positive future possibilities

And it's just good for you.

Two positive birds with one awesome stone.
2. Daily journaling will change your life.

Spending dedicated time thinking about questions that matter everyday will provide many practical benefits.

Here's my personal experience using it to improve my life: https://www.scottswhite.com/posts/a-million-words-of-reflection
3. Gratitude will change your life.

Considering how society pounds you with messages of scarcity,

it's not hard to imagine why it can be difficult to be happy with what you have in your life.

A daily gratitude practice will help with that. https://www.scottswhite.com/posts/daily-gratitude-practice
4. You can learn more from one good passion project than you can from ten books.

I've never been into marketing before, but after starting my newsletter, I'm always thinking up ways to get the word out about it a bit more.

Application > Theory
7. Having a savings account can give you the freedom to change your life.

I've taken the last four months off of academics.

Having a savings account allowed me to do that without needing to get a job.

I got to focus 100% of my energy of improving myself.

Build yours today.
8. Relationships are the most valuable thing you own, besides a growth mindset.

Your mindset is the most important thing to grow, but everyone goes through times that are more than they alone can handle.

You relationships will carry you through those times.
9. Learn how to manufacture serendipity.

Serendipity is life giving you something you didn't realize you need.

You can't control when you receive these gifts.

But you can become more attractive to them.

Do things that connect you with as many people as possible.
10. If you do the right actions consistently over time, good things will happen.

Deciding what those right actions are is a game of experimentation and discovery.

When something feels right though,

"repify" the actions,

and put in your sets daily
