guy's thoughts watching Najee Harris film. I'm not telling anyone what's what, just sharing what I'm thinking as I watch some of these plays.

This first one showcases the physicality in his game. He is not Derrick Henry, but he is plenty physical, which is evident here.

I'm no hot-shot coach or anything, but when I did coach RBs at the high school level, I was HUGE on off-hand work. Sound off-hand work adds yardage to so many plays. Najee is quite excellent at it (see play 1 here) but occasionally misses a chance to utilize it (see play 2 here).

Many people think of Najee as a physical basher, but he's faster than many people realize. That's not to say his speed is prolific; it's not. But he has some nice burst, speed that gets the job done, and an excellent feel for how to finish, as seen here.

Vision is strong here. Outside zone, Najee recognizes the cutback lane, but he sees it getting filled, patient enough to move on to the next opening, presses the seam when it appears, finishes strong by taking the tackler for a free hayride.

Come on, now. This play is a gem. Natural receiver, speed to separate after the catch, agility to spin out of the initial tackle, contact balance like after another DB tries to chop him down. Lots of impressive things to fall in love with here.

Pass pro doesn't score FF points, but pass pro gets you on the field so you CAN score FF points. Najee is such a good receiver that he isn't asked to do it as often as one might think. But he can do it. Pad level is often too high, but he's not a liability by any means.

I say that I "love the vision here," but this play is more footwork and balance for me. Vertical/violent cut on the sweep, and he toggles horizontal movement with vertical attack well to find the end zone. I expect Najee to be a fantasy starter in 2021 and moving forward.
