His name was Bob, short for Bobbert, AKA Nubble Shortbottom, the most come-here-so-I-can-love-you animal I have ever known.

He'd climb on your shoulder, and paw at your arms, until you made a cradle with them so he could flop in like a baby.

Ragdoll cats, y'all.
He showed up at our house at one in the morning, begging to be let in, with a nasty tail injury that meant all but an inch or two had to be amputated.

So instead of swishing a tail delicately, he wagged his whole butt like a dog.

It suited him.
