The general public are not epidemiologists, they are not public health officials or mind-readers. They don’t sit there all day watching the news. They were told the borders were opened. They went to see friends and family after one of the hardest years of all our lives
Maybe you think you know better than them, maybe you sit there all day hitting refresh on the DHHS website for updates in your bunker or box of a living room you never leave, but goddamn you for your lack of empathy towards others trapped in a situation no one should go through
If you want someone to blame, blame the Morrison government for refusing the Andrews gvt request for ADF support at the border. Don’t blame civilians
If you want to be outraged, be outraged that in a pandemic 100 ppl were stuck queuing for the same toilet just after they crossed the border at midnight
