debunking myths about the xinjiang re-education camps ; a thread 
as right wing propaganda has become mainstream, i believe its important to make a thread dismantling imperialist lies about americas enemies. sources will be provided after claims and i'll add more at the end!
to start off, we need to understand why these camps exist. xinjiang is a region in china where roughly about half the population is uyghur, a ethnic minority native to xinjiang.
- the region has had a history of terrorism with inhabitants having joined al qaeda and ISIS, the function of these camps is to combat terrorism in the region. former detainees have written about their experiences and expressed their opinion these camps, see sources below

created based off of interviews with 8 people, reported by one american affiliated with the US Network of Chinese Human Rights Defenders who was unable to provide any sources that prove the existence of any re-education camps with majority uyghur detainees.
the CHRD also receives most of its funding from the NED, a cia-backed group with the aim of creating regime change within the USA's enemies. 99% of the CHRD's funding comes is from american government grants, too.

the other report, however, is from a far-right antisemitic christian adrian zenz, who claims to be sent on a mission by god against china and equates homosexuality and anti-capitalism to the coming of the antichrist.
he also works for the victims of communism organization, a organization grown from the NCNC, founded by nazi sypathizers while the VOC org is known for their antisemitism and and spreads the "double genocide theory".

so why would america spread the myth that china is committing genocide against muslims, especially when it obviously doesn't care about them? the answer is simple, to gain public support (especially liberal and left-wing) for imperialism against china. sanctions -
