I chose just one inmate featured in this article and looked up their crime. They took part in the murder of a young woman and the attempted murder a 12 year old child.

It's hard to research these inmates because most have changed their names SINCE being incarcerated, but I found one more. They were convicted of killing their parents. Ran over the 71-year-old father and beat 68-year-old mother to death.

Another: Not many details, but convicted of first degree murder and cruelty to a child.

Found another. Convicted of SEVENTY-SIX counts of child molestation involving four victims. The victims were ages 6, 5, 4, and 3 years old at the time. Many of the crimes were videotaped.

Here's another. Convicted of molestation. He's nicknamed himself Mr. RTK which stands for rape, torture, kill. He said, "If you don’t cut off my penis and hands I will molest again.”

The one convicted of 76 counts had their crimes described as "extraordinarily depraved acts of child molestation."

Another one: Held his wife hostage and fired 50 rounds on police in a four hour standoff.

The murdered trans inmate who helped inspire this legislation had stabbed a woman to death while her 14-year-old was in the apartment.

Another inmate featured here raped and strangled a 17-year-old girl.

If you read this article, you'll notice that the writer doesn't mention the crimes these inmates were convicted of unless it wasn't of a sexual nature. Rape or child sexual assault isn't disclosed. I only found out about those convictions when I researched the inmate.
