US campaign financing has been a mess for a while now, and it’s only getting worse.

With the SCOTUS decisions of Buckley v. Valeo & Citizens United and the gutting of campaign finance laws, we’ve practically legalized corruption. (2/3)
If we ever want an actual functioning democracy, we NEED to fix this first.

Shorter campaign periods, contribution/spending limits, and revamped finance laws are great places to start.

With reform we might just bring ourselves back to reality like other countries...
