as a dr mart*ns employee i am begging you to please stop buying the “vegan” leather styles

our leather is a byproduct of the meat industry (like most new leather goods) which ensures that every part of the animal is used and doesn’t go to waste

on top of that, fake leather is a form of plastic aka unnecessary pollution (not to mention the vegan pairs are the same price but aren’t even half as durable and can’t be maintained, meaning you’ll have to replace the pairs more frequently than real leather)

if you still don’t feel comfortable buying a new pair of leather shoes, the best route is always to buy secondhand. but please for the love of god stop going out of your way to buy vegan leather it is worse for the environment
