2) I launched my own show on how athletes cope with life transitions, got accepted into an amazing PhD program, received wonderful opportunities that fit my newly blended career, and most importantly, watched our family grow exponentially closer. On the other...
3) I witnessed and experienced a lot of fear, pain, loneliness, and loss. The curtain of ignorance that blinded me to our country's social, economic, and racial injustices was finally pulled back. And w/ that, I began a new exploration into who I am as a 2nd gen Thai American
4) an ethnically ambiguous brown-skinned woman, & a person of privilege who could do a much better job of contributing to our broken country. Of course, I am grateful for all that 2020 had to offer, and I recognize my "lows" were only a fraction of what others experienced.
5) To those still hurting, I send u love & strength as we close out the year. To those whose 2020 scars have begun to heal, let us plunge ahead together. Give urself credit bc if u can handle 2020, you'll be able to handle anything. Goodbye 2020 & hello, to a promising 2021.
