As we move to a new year I long for a world where compassion and sharing are key traits that are rewarded. Where philanthropy becomes a dirty word and where help in the community is not measured in dollars but by the extra free time given above your normal salary.
I long to be part of a society that rewards all people as valuable contributors and places no pecking order on such contributions. One where no person goes to bed hungry, where all have a secure safe, warm and dry place to call home.
A society where everyone has access to free education and medical care from cradle to the grave. A country that operates a fair taxation system that recognizes that everyone should contribute commensurate with their wealth.
In the mean time, I will attempt to be the change I want to see in the world. Happy New Year
