MORE AMERICAN LEGENDS

I've discussed many times that the way to destroy a culture is to destroy her history and her language

Give the conquered people nothing to remember and no way to voice what they really want to say
Orwell understood this quite well

And to those who don't have their head up their asses, we already know the commies have infiltrated the American education system

So you're seeing this less and less

Thus, I'll make it my job to keep this knowledge alive forever
Some of these figures are legends.  Some are quite real.  Some are real people who have been exaggerated

I'm not going to waste time differentiating.  You can do that work yourself
Paul Bunyan - French Canadian ethnically but purely American folk hero

Bunyan was a giant and his best friend was a giant ox named Babe the Blue Ox

A lumberjack giant with superstrength and a killer work ethic, his mighty axe eventually loses out to a man with a chainsaw
John Henry - rather than an axe, Henry wielded a giant hammer

Henry raced with his hammer against a steam-powered rock drilling machine

He barely beat it, but in order to do so, he literally worked himself to death and collapsed dead right after defeating the machine
Daniel Boone - blazed the WIlderness Road in what is now Kentucky, opening up that area for Americans

He symbolized the frontiersman, paving the way for future city folk against impossible odds
Davy Crocket - He did it all, pioneer, frontiersman, soldier, politician

Took Freedom so seriously that he died for it, fighting in the Alamo alongside future Texas heroes
Geronimo - the baddest of the baddest amongst Indian fighters, Geronimo couldn't be killed by a gun

Survived countless blasts, including being hit several times in battle and assassination attempts at point blank range
Geronimo died an old man but confessed on his death bed that he regretted surrendering

He said he should have continued fighting until he was the last man
Rosie the Riveter - a WWII propoganda piece, she represented the women who worked in the factories for the war machine while the men were out fighting in battles

A symbol of strength, she kept the war machine going
Unfortunately she's been hijacked by today's feminists, who conveniently forget Rosie the Riveter became Rosie the Housewife in 1945
Harriet Tubman - American abolitionist, scout, spy, and "conductor" for the Underground Railroad

She made 13 missions and led over 70 slaves to Freedom, despite having blackout spells from a head wound suffered from when she was still a slave
Brer Rabbit - A trickster whose wits and fast tongue gets him out of really bad troubles

He's an old tradition who historians trace him all the way back to Africa
Disney released Song of the South with this character and it's been pulled from their stores for racism

Which is a shame because it's actually a pretty good movie.  Plus, you already know how I feel about censorship
These are just intro characters as there are many more

The communists will do everything they can to destroy our heroes.  Deny their existence.  Get offended by them.  Rewrite them.  Or whatever.

Once again, to destroy a culture - erase her history and her language
