It's a fair question @LaughJack15 for which I have several answers. First, most of the players in question on the ballot played at a time when the industry winked at & rewarded players who may or may not have used PEDs. https://twitter.com/LaughJack15/status/1344723860344725506
Second, the Hall is already in the business of rewarding and honoring executives and managers who directly benefited from players who may or may not have used & protected their alleged use.
Third, we literally have no idea how much if at all PEDs impacted a particular player who may have been using PEDs, keeping in mind he was playing against a number of other players who may have been using.
Speaking from experience with body-altering substances, results do vary. So I can't discount performance, in the same way that alleged PED use didn't make Adam Piatt a Hall of Famer.
Fourth, I also don't have a problem w/players who were caught & suspended since the new agreement on PEDs. They served their penalties, losing money & playing time.
Fifth, there are already multiple PED users in Cooperstown. Heck, there are dozens of PED users enshrined in Canton, and folks don't seem to have a problem.
