We’ve all been through so much this year. In a time where we felt lost in everything, one thing remained consistent. We’re so lucky to have been blessed with so much amazing music this year, these artists really saved so many lives…

My top 10 albums of the year; a thread.
#10 Meet The Woo 2 - Pop Smoke

This is Pop Smoke at his absolute best. The energy, intensity and aggression carried over 11 tracks is perfect. I’m so happy we got a full album showcasing Pop Smoke’s greatest aspects of his artistry before he passed. Nothing but heat throughout.
#9 Burden Of Proof - Benny The Butcher

Evolution. Coming off the classic Tana Talk 3 and the perfect TPIM EP, Benny proves he’s more than just a grimy street rapper. The pristine, clean production fits him perfectly and his rapping was never in question. Griselda levelled up.
#8 Alfredo - Freddie Gibbs & Alchemist

Gibbs continues his untouchable run with another AOTY contender. His flow and bars are as slick and smooth as they’ve ever been and the beats are tuned perfectly for him. This is Gibbs’ victory lap, I’m so happy he’s getting his flowers.
#7 Circles - Mac Miller

The perfect example of what a posthumous release should be. One of the most heartbreaking albums I’ve ever heard, I believe this is his best work. There’s something about Mac’s beautiful delivery that pulls emotional strings more than anyone… special.
#6 King’s Disease - Nas

Grown music. This album’s production has such a interesting modern take on classic type beats with one of the greatest rappers to ever do it ageing like fine wine on them. His life experience oozes through every song, it’s so beautiful to hear Nas happy.
#5 Savage Mode 2 - 21 Savage & Metro Boomin

Metro Boomin is the greatest producer of his generation and 21 and him are a match made in heaven. The chemistry between the two is incredible. From bangers like Many Men to slow, emotional songs like RIP Luv, SM2 gives you everything.
#4 Whole Lotta Red - Playboi Carti

This album is amazing, I don’t care. One of the most unique, boundary pushing ‘trap’ albums I’ve ever heard. Every single moment is exciting and keeps me on edge. The raw, dark intensity created on this album is mind blowing. Carti’s best work.
#3 From King To A GOD - Conway

Conway is one of the best rappers on earth, period. The way he talks about his past is so enthralling and engaging, dragging you through his traumas with him. If you love bars, you’ll love this album. Perfect production mix of grimy and shiny.
#2 Big Conspiracy - @JHus

J Hus might be the best songwriter of his generation, displayed in full on this album. The production is timeless yet current and the way he flows over it, switching effortlessly from street talk, to love talk, to deep poetry is something truly special.
#1 After Hours - The Weeknd

The easiest choice. This album is the greatest example of perfectionism in music I’ve heard in years. From the aesthetics, to the powerful singles, to the intoxicating journey of heartbreak it takes you on, every moment is special. Album of the Year.
I know I do this a lot, but just want to say to everyone who’s supported me this year. You lot have changed my life and I’m so excited to show you everything I’ve got planned for 2021.

Happy new year❤️
