My framework for ensuring a healthy team:

Connect





Clarify org strategy and vision and repeat it often. Show how their work connects with the larger strategy.
Clarify how their performance is being evaluated. Show transparency in how their comp is calculated.

Remove obstacles that prevent them from doing their best job. Create space for thinking and strategy. Hire enough people to do all the work and deprioritize enough work that people are not overloaded.
Set the right tone with eng and PM teams for UX to thrive.

Invest in your people. Help them grow, both at this job and to move towards their ideal for their career.
Pay for continued learning. Arrange trainings/workshops for skill growth. Shoutout to @designdeptco for being an excellent resource here.

Help them find mentors. Find sponsors for them. Connect them with people who can help them and people they can help.
Connect different parts of the team with each other so no one is working in silos. Enable a whole that’s greater than the sum of its parts.
