So.... now we're leaving it, how did 2020 go for us?

Thread:
We started the year okay. The usual town celebrations...though there was news filtering in from China that didn't seem too good. We were too busy to pay much attention though.
We built a lot of scaffold
And bought a lot of cheese
There was a mild hurricane in Germany and we had to take our locomotive mural down because the boards were trying to fly
We found some old Saule/ columns to replace the missing ones in the Bahnhof. And dear Herr Pusch renovated our old signal beautifully, before he retired
That news from China we'd shrugged off earlier became very, very important here in Germany. And so did the masks and gloves we used in the Bahnhof. Some went to family in the UK who were really struggling with Coronavirus.
Bobby was attacked by 3 large dogs and we thought our world had ended. Local - and Twitter - friends came to our rescue though. Can't thank you all enough for the support
We renovated a little Gartenhaus in our garden (didn't get time to sit in it though) and the old railway columns too.
We found a large wasps' nest and brave @loerzer_p collected it to teach children at Camburg Museum (her job is under threat by the way and that is peak 2020 stupidity).
We finally managed to open some of the old safes in the Bahnhof (not the oldest one though). Found old paint and Deutsch Reichsbahn wage advance books.
After months of fear and struggle, our grand baby was born safely in the UK and was thrilled to discover Oma and Opa have a Bahnhof. We haven't met her yet though and still don't know when we will. #Covid19UK đŸ˜„
A steam train/Dampflok stopped at Camburg Bahnhof and I finally managed to get some photos!
...then it broke down for a while.
We hired a lot of big machinery, like cranes. All very exciting.
We installed the big timbers for the Biergarten roof but there wasn't time to finish it before winter, so they had to be painted and protected in a hurry.
At the end of the unusually warm year, we treated ourselves to a bbq. And beers. And joy from Bobby despite the fact he didn't get a Camburg Bahnhof sweatshirt.
There has also been an endless amount of wall building. Vitally important but not great for photos. See @GreenbarData for full details on all that 😁
