I have spent the last few days watching an extensive amount of OSU film to try and get a gauge on what this game will look like. Here are my conclusions.

(Thread)
What do the Buckeyes do well on O?

•Run game when it involves Fields. If they’re going to establish it, they’re not gonna be able to do it with just Sermon, OL is big and nasty.

•WR Talent, but don’t sleep on TEs, esp as blockers.

•Fields’ arm talent is elite

•Ryan Day
What they do poorly on O:

•Pass pro is really bad, biggest opportunity 4 Clemson IMO.

•Despite talent, Olave and Wilson are only receivers who have proven consistency.

•Fields and Day tend to rely on the homerun ball at times, leads to sacks or TOs.

•Early down efficiency
What they do well on D:

•Haskell Garrett is a monster, he will make plays to wreck at least one Tiger drive.

•LBs are fundamentally sound. Werner One of the most underrated LBs in the country.

•DL does a great job of pushing the pocket as a group in order to create pressure
What they do poorly on D:

•Pass defense is embarrassing. They don’t have the horses they’ve usually had there, & the scheme makes it even worse. Tackling in space is bad.

•Biting on Misdirection runs, cutbacks, & motions.

•Blitz on every obv pass play to protect secondary.
It would take a completely different OSU team showing up on Friday than has all season in order for them to win. Given their talent, that is very possible. But is it reasonable to expect a product to show up on the field that hasn’t all season? Likely depends on your perspective.
As of the last two or three weeks of the season, Clemson is playing better and more sound football, and that is why I predict a win. I think the heat of battle keeps this close early, but Clemson pulls away. I’m not sure Ohio states most debilitating flaws are fixed in 12 days.
The Buckeyes best course of action is to shorten the game and avoid a shootout. If they start to get behind I could see things falling apart. My prediction is 34–24 Tigers, but the possibilities of all that OSU talent coming together would be an immediate equalizer.
Would you all like me to do something like this before every huge game?
