2020: A thread

2020 has probably been the worst year in recent memory for a lot of people. And while during this year I had my fair share of hardships, I feel a tinge of guilt because this year, all in all, has been good to me.
Maybe that's just the optimist in me or maybe I feel that way because I "survived" the year but in any case I do feel there was more good than bad on a personal level. And that's not to say there haven't been any personal struggles or hardships.
My last 2 remaining grandparents passed away this year (not due to COVID), being separated from a lot of friends and family due to the pandemic and of course the normal mental and emotional struggles one deals with when you have anxiety.
Along with those personal things was also the added weight of everything happening in the world this year. Its just been a tough year for everyone.

But with all that said I am still grateful for this year.
I'm grateful to be alive, for the new friendships I've made, for feeling closer to my wife and family than I have before, for this show, for being able to work through the pandemic and most importantly, being grateful for becoming a father soon.
I'm grateful to all my guests who have been on the podcast this year and helped make this a great year for the show. @JamesLandino @ReviewFixPat @garethcoker @supersmackraps @MikeJMika @DexterMorrill @xwatergaming and @EdumacationAndy.
I'm incredibly grateful to the guests who I have gotten to know better and become friends with, @andrewprahlow @NextGameDave and @cissyspeaks. All of them are awesome and have been on the show a few times!
I'm grateful for the other podcasts I've met and become friends with this year. @OnlineWarriors1 @JKGamesPodcast @GamingMemories1 @CynicalSensibly @TasteOfDragons and probably others that I'm forgetting.
I'm grateful for all of my OG podcasting/YouTube friends, the ones who have been with me for a while. @ApexAndAbyss @monstermadpod @TheHodderShow @KGApodcast @GhabulousGhoti @Bite_Size_Pixel
And most importantly, I am grateful for all of you listeners. I still can't believe anyone likes my ramblings and ravings about video games so it truly means a lot that you all take some time and listen to it.
2020 is over. Let's put it behind us and learn from it. I hope you all have a wonderful (and safe) New Year and sincerely, thank you all for your support. See you in 2021!!
Also.... I forgot to include some of my closest friends, @theEXPpoint. #badfriend
