Because of logistics with the vaccine (needs super cold storage), Mecklenburg County doesn't think they'll be able to bring clinics out into the community -- which means you'll need to drive to the coliseum to receive the vaccine. At least for now.
How do you know if it's your turn?
At first you just need to be 75 or older.
County is working on telling this population through churches, community groups, local news, etc.

For the rest of 1b -- Harris says they will rely on any messaging available to them. This could mean your company tells you it's your turn to sign up for the vaccinations. Example: grocery store workers who are eligible
Harris says she's hopeful Mecklenburg County will be in Phase 4 (vaccine available for anybody) by April 2021.
Harris estimates there's 20,000 people in 75+ group of phase 1b who will be eligible for vaccination first.
Timing all depends on how many doses of the vaccine they receive and if that keeps being a steady supply.
