Unbelievably infuriating that people are using slurs like it's fine.
Here are some "slang" terms that are actually slurs:
-g*psy
-esk*mo
-s*cred c*w
-sp**k/sp**ky (this one is more context dependent but still counts)
-nearly any Anglicized name for First Nation tribes
If this is you, stop it and do some reading. Google is free.
If it's not you but you're replying to/retweeting/quote tweeting people who use these, stop it and send them a DM to educate them.

We don't use GIFs that feature abusers.
We can do the same for what terms we use.
"I had no idea!" Well, you do now. I get that people don't always have the ability or opportunity to know everything they need to, but I encourage you to not be defensive and make the necessary changes to adjust to the new information.
Men get offended when their honorific like "doctor" isn't used.
How do you think entire people groups feel when they're referred to by a colonizer's nomenclature?
In other words, calling someone a "g*psy" is tantamount to saying, "I'll call you a derogatory term *I* think you should be called - not what you want to be called."
Identity is self-declarative. You know who you are and you get the ability to decide that - not a colonial power.
