Something I think about a lot is the fact that the whole Karen phenomenon happened basically right after a supposed societal reckoning about misogyny and "believing women."
2020 gave us Schrodinger's white woman: simultaneously a HERO for reporting her abuser to the authorities, and a VILLAIN for being a Karen calling the cops.
Well, here's to 2021! 🥂 I've never begun a year with less institutional trust than I have now (obviously not just for this reason), so this should be interesting. But I'm glad I joined Twitter in March and have gotten to "meet" so many smart, sane, interesting folx on here ♥️
