The game industry would be better if we successfully replaced the Flash games ecosystem:
- Lower barriers, tools accessible to all skill levels
- Free games made in days/months (not years/decades)
- Sponsorships/ads to pay devs
- Awesome player communities
- Low/no marketing

Flash gave so many new developers a pathway into games, web, and animation, and those developers brought innovation, discovery, and joy to millions. The whole games industry became better because of it.
It will be extremely difficult to replace Flash, but not impossible.

The good vibes around Flash doubles my hope that future devs/players will get to experience a Flash-like ecosystem again.
