Last year, I reflected on each month of 2019 right before new years, and despite the insanely negative year this has been, I'm gonna do the same now!
So here's a thread of my favorite personal experiences from each month of 2020 :)
So here's a thread of my favorite personal experiences from each month of 2020 :)
In January, there was this one day where a bunch of my friends came over and we played manhunt in my unfurnished basement. It's one day we all still talk about today and I'd love to do it again :)
My family and I went snow tubing in February! I was having a kind of rough couple of days at the time and this day really cheered me up a lot at the time :)
Back in March, me and some of my friends were out hiking when it was announced school was closing. Sure, it's definitely a negative time looking at it now, but I'm grateful we all spent that bit of time together before being shut down for so long :)
April is my birthday month, and despite not having any sort of big celebration, I got suprise visits from Luis and Rachael, and at the time man it was just absolutely crazy talking to another person! (Also Rachael made me that very cool cake) :)
I'm gonna cheat a little bit with May, but there are two very big events for this one: I went out and had lunch with Andrew and Luis, which was our first real time to hangout in months! However, my family also got Piper! I couldn't decide on one of those two :)
In June, after knowing we liked eachother for a month or two, Ashley and I had our first date! It was definitely a turning point for my year, and I'll never be able to express how important that day is and always will be to me :)
Near the end of July, Andrew came with my family to Ocean City! I'll be honest being on vacation at a time like this was kinda horrifying but we were very safe and it was a really good time!! :)
Looking back at it, August was pretty slow. Probably the best thing was when I went to Andrew's house and me, him, and Luis watched the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Not exactly great movies but a very fun time (can't find pics so here's unrelated pics of the boys) :)
In September, to celebrate Ashley's birthday, the guys helped me throw her a little surprise party! It wasn't much but I was very happy to do it for her! And she seemed to quite enjoy it :)
Some of the gang got together in October, specifically on Halloween, and we had a bonfire and a costume party, dressing up as eachother! I'm just saying I make for a very good Luis :)
Not too much to say about November, but I did get to visit Ashley on Thanksgiving and that was pretty darn neat :)
And then December! This one's been kinda crazy, but some of my highlights were visiting JMU, going skiing with Ashley, and just overall having a really good Christmas with my family, definitely getting some stuff I didn't expect :)
So while I've had my highlights, it's also been a rough year. A lot has gone on mentally and without getting into detail, some days it's rough to keep going, especially with the current situation of the world. But I'm very grateful for all the friends I have that help (cont.)
