When Hindus from East Pakistan started entering Hooghly from 1946, towns like Chinsurah, Balagarh, Saptagram, Arambagh, Goghat had almost 45-55% Muslim population. Within a few years, these towns became 85-90% Hindu majority places. East Bengali Hindus are master cleansers!
Krishnanagar in Nadia, Ranaghat, were almost Muslim majority towns in 1947. Within a few years they became full Hindu majority towns kudos to Bengali Hindus from East Pakistan. Anecdotes of cleansing Muzzies are often told.
Bengali Hindus from East Pakistan wrecked havoc on Muzzies in Nadia, 24 Parganas, Maldah, Hooghly, Dinajpur. Big Muzzie landlords were killed, families massacred, land seized & demography changed with very limited govt support. Imagine this + govt support post NRC & CAA in NE.
