It's the end of the series but we look very forward to continuing this conversation through our news coverage, live events and other platforms. A heartfelt thank you to the more than two dozen professionals, entrepreneurs and researchers who contributed time and expert insights.
One important note: I feel incredibly grateful as a journalist to be able to cover these topics. I don't experience racism (or sexism) firsthand and I have received support for covering systemic racism while journalists in other orgs have faced punishment or outright termination.
But it's encouraging that it looks like journalism and the industries that we cover are trying to end these cycles. It's up to everyone, especially those of us with privilege and platforms, to make sure we never ignore systemic racism and act toward eliminating it. THE END
