Educating and advising hand hygiene, social distancing, indoor-mask use is entirely reasonable;

But there can be poorly thought out, illogical, draconian & excessive covid policies & communication that undermine public health

These are some 👇 [thread]
The problem with these policies is two fold:

They do not do much

Their harms exceed their benefits
When these policies are proudly asserted, they create massive resentment, and anger

And honestly...

as it should be!

People should be angry about these policies/ communications. They are errors of judgement & leadership failures.
You should feel remorse if you offer policies like this

Politicians should be embarrassed, and face the voters in the voting booth; and experts should admit if they lack real world experience in crafting or thinking about real world policies
Policy is not theory; its not a model; it is the messy reality of politics meets psychology meets common sense meets medicine meets sociology, and the aforementioned is bad policy.
Twitter experts must learn to walk and chew gum

Covid is a serious threat, and we must take action, but some actions are stupid. And we should not take those actions even if it feels like 'you are doing something'
Also, if you want to argue, just say

"I disagree with this argument because...."

that's how one does that. Not tangential, ad-hominem, illogical remarks, which is the bulk of it.

And consider that many others agree with my statement, as I formulate it
