You know what kicks fucking ass? When you watch a great movie, are super into it, and then they lay out the perfect song for the end credits. It's so satisfying, and an under-appreciated detail in movies.

Here are my top 5 alltime closing credit songs.
5. The Matrix + Rage Against The Machine

I'm hit or miss on Rage, but this was an example of using them properly. Badass as fuck, and played so well with the movie's ending. All of us were fist pumping and STOKED when we walked out of that theater.
4. Breakfast Club + Simple Minds

A great movie with one of the most iconic endings of all time. We are all John Bender giving a fist pump on the football field. Also, "Don't You Forget About Me" is just an amazing song.

NB: Filmed at my high school!
3. The Bourne Ultimatum - Moby "Extreme Ways"

This song was used for all three of the first Bourne movies, but in Ultimatum they tuned it to the end of the movie that it feels like part of the movie itself. Insanely badass end to extremely kickass movie.
2. Trainspotting - Underworld "Born Slippery"

I'm worried that the younger generation doesn't know Trainspotting. In the 90's, this movie was hugely influential. One of the best movie endings of all time, and this song is part of the reason.
1. Tron: Legacy + Daft Punk

The greatest credits song in the greatest soundtrack on my favorite movie of all time (not kidding, arguments welcome).

Nobody in history has watched Tron all the way through and not left stoked. Insanely underrated film.
