A few #iubb thoughts after sleeping on last night's victory.
1) If you *made* me predict our Big Ten record and bet my house on it, I'd say 8-12. Not good enough, even if all but one of those wins would likely be a legit quality win. Confidence level obviously subject to change.

2) My overriding thought about this season so far is how encouraged I am by Armaan's development. We're watching him grow into the role of a go-to scorer on a game-by-game basis. It's really fun, my favorite part about being a fan. He's a good damn player.
3) Trayce's ability to maintain good efficiency on a monstrous usage rate is impressive. He's more mature in being able to produce on nights when he's not as his energetic best. FTs have improved, but still plenty of room for other skills to develop.
4) I was already high on Trey Galloway, but the improvement he's already made through 10 games suggests there is a higher ceiling there than meets the eye. I wish he could play a more supporting role this season, but we need his playmaking ... and he's delivering.
5) In the absence of more playing time/development from Khristian Lander (which I still want to see!), Al and Rob hold the key to this season. When they're solid, we're solid. When one or both is passive or unproductive, we just don't have enough to beat high-level teams.
6) Joey Brunk's absence hurts. You can't replace his experience, size, skill & leadership, but some combination of Jerome Hunter and Jordan Geronimo has to provide competent minutes behind Trayce and Race. There's no other option. (More mismatch post touches for Jerome, please!)
7) Feelings about last night's win will ultimately be colored by the Maryland game. A solid win makes the PSU victory look like a stepping stone. A poor performance or loss will make it look more like a harbinger of B1G struggles to come. Will cheer like hell for the former.
